Breakfast Quiche

I found a recipe for a Quiche on allrecipes.com the other day but of course didn't have all the ingredients, so I used the recipe and substituted my own ingredients. It turned out so yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce bacon bits
  • 1/2-1 lb of Hamburger or Ground Sausage (drained)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (or Onion Onion from Tastefully Simple)
  • 6-8 ounces Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (9 inch) deep dish frozen pie crust
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream*

*If you need a substitute for half-and-half use 3/4 c Whole Milk and 1/4 c Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the bacon, hamburger, onions, and cheese. Place this mixture in the unthawed pie crust.
  3. Mix the eggs and half and half in a bowl. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese mixture.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 35 minutes, until top of quiche begins to turn brown.
  5. Enjoy!

  1. Definitely a "meat lovers" dish. Perfect for my family. You made it look SO pretty! Stopping by from Tasty Thursday blog hop. Stop by sometime at Ducks 'n a Row. We have a Wednesday Hop, still open.
