Happy 100th Birthday Oreo!!

Today is Oreo's 100th Birthday! That is something to celebrate! So...we did with a rendition of this OREO & Ice Cream Sandwich Cake! *I don't have a printer that has ink at the moment nor do I have a laptop with wireless so I was half doing this by memory and half with a "recipe" of jotted down notes! I apparently can't read though and missed the part about adding in the oreos! Ha ha!

Here is what it should look like...

Here is what mine looked like...

The Recipe: (from Kraft)
1/2 cup hot fudge ice cream topping, warmed
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
16 OREO Cookies, chopped (about 2 cups), divided
12 vanilla ice cream sandwiches

POUR fudge topping into medium bowl. Whisk in 1 cup COOL WHIP. Add dry pudding mix; stir 2 min. Stir in 1 cup chopped cookies. (I forgot this part so I added a layer in their of cookies)

ARRANGE 4 ice cream sandwiches, side-by-side, on 24-inch-long piece of foil (I placed this on top of a pan); top with half the COOL WHIP mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining sandwiches. Frost top and sides with remaining COOL WHIP; press remaining chopped cookies into COOL WHIP on top and sides of cake. Bring up foil sides; double fold top and ends to loosely seal packet. (I don't know what double fold means...but I covered it at least)
FREEZE 4 hours. (It really needs 4 hours...we gave it like 1 hour)

It was enjoyed by all!
Did you do anything to celebrate Oreo's birthday??

*My blogger hates me tonight and is messing up my post...sorry for the awkwardness of it*
